Patience

Patience is a gift that I feel truly keeps on giving. It allows you to have peace while also giving others a moment of peace they may have otherwise missed out on.

Patience is the act of tolerating without getting frustrated or angered. I find it’s a rare skill nowadays as our society has become more honed on being fast-paced.

In the rush of it all we find our attention spans shortening, tempers sparking, and before you know it, what may’ve been a simple misunderstanding boils out of proportion.

For instance, as a new driver, I often appreciate the patience another driver may have for me as I reverse out of a parking spot or take an extra moment to switch lanes. It helps make my day a little easier and likely decreases their own stress as they aren’t in an impatient mood.

However, when we encounter impatient people, it’s reasonable to assume it’s a negative experience.

This is why I encourage us all to have a little grace and patience as we interact with one another. We all share this earth, and we all likely would like to enjoy it.
