Kindness

What is kindness?

Kindness is a type of behaviour characterized by generosity, friendliness, and being considerate. These qualities allow kindness to be a positive influence within a person’s life.

It allows for equally beneficial results. The person being kind can feel warmth, satisfaction, and a boost in mood; the receiving person can feel a sense of belonging, gratitude, and happiness.

However, in my opinion, the power of kindness is typically overlooked and underused.

While we talk about it often, we sometimes lack the will to actually put it into action, regardless of the fact that it doesn’t have to be a grand gesture or anything wildly complicated.

For instance, examples of kind acts can be simple tasks like smiling at a friend or complimenting a stranger. There are also bigger acts, like volunteering at a local shelter or writing letters of gratitude.

Luckily, there are several other ways people can produce more kindness in the world through everyday life.

I challenge everyone to do at least 2–3 kind acts per day minimum.

The results may just blow you away!
