Renew Psychology’s Oludotun Ogunfowora, MC. is a registered psychologist in Calgary. Her name, Dotun, translates to “renew” or “become new” in Yoruba language, which is a reflection of her commitment to helping clients renew their perspectives and co-create pragmatic solutions that can be easily sustained, regardless of their lifestyles. 

With varied treatment approaches to her clients’ concerns, Dotun Ogunfowora provides compassionate support for clients of all ages and in all walks of life. She has a comprehensive understanding of psychology and common mental health complaints. Dotun consistently upholds her responsibilities to her clients, providing them with insight and support as they navigate unique challenges and circumstances.

Sophie Wong, BComm.
Intern Therapist

Sophie Wong, BComm. is a registered student counsellor completing her Master in Counselling Psychology. As a student herself, she is committed to assisting clients in their learning journey. Navigating through their experiences and obstacles in a space of acceptance and hope. 

Recognizing that everyone is on their unique walk of life, Sophie works with her clients through the most suitable therapeutic treatment for their needs. She has 15 years of extensive experiences championing Human Resources, Diversity Equity and Inclusion and Women in Leadership in both public and private organizations. As an advocate for growth and development, Sophie would like to support her clients in creating meaningful change.

Dotun’s compassion and commitment to patient care are evident in every session. Using a variety of proven treatment techniques, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, and exposure therapy, she creates tailored treatment plans that ensure long-term success for her clients.

Dotun holds a Master of Counselling Psychology from Seattle City University in Calgary. Her Master’s thesis focused on the Experiences of Gay Men Accessing PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) in North America. Dotun completed a poster presentation at the Canadian Psychological Association Annual Conference in 2017, showcasing her thesis.
